Orginally called Lightcast ^® Networks, we are a group of technologists with backgrounds in installing city wide fiber optic telecommunication networks in the 90s, public safety and electronics for law enforcement agencies since 2000 with the goal to build and provide enhance products to  public safety and network integrators. 

Lightcast started in 2003 as a manufacturer and service provider of a telecom broadcast product for religious entities. In 2008 Lightcast  acquired RMSS Inc. assets a company started in 2000 with public safety customers, primarily State DPS, County Sheriffs and City Police. RMSS provided in-car cameras, infrastructure and back-end video servers. RMSS inc. sold the first true server based digital cameras installed in the state of Alabama and was awarded the state contract. Lightcast builds data and telecom gear in Alabama under www.thereelguys.com and new radar speed cameras under Lightcast Public Safety. Lightcast resells a number of other products via web stores, such as radar trailers and variable message signs.
